seed starts

photo via homeharvest
This year I want to start seeds indoors and then transfer them outdoors. I have been doing some preliminary research, one question I have is, do I really need heat lamps? Has anyone ever started seed indoors before? Do you have any advice or tips?

  1. Wendy Fanson gave me a great tip: sprinkle seeds on top of a wet paper towel in a ziploc bag on top of the fridge. It's warm there, and not dark, but not too bright.
