guest blogger camille

Introducing Guest Blogger Camille! Camille is a stay at home Mom/writer/Master degree holder/chef/aspiring authoress/advice giver extraordinaire. Camille has some great posts planned for Paperwhite J, so without further ado I present Guest Blogger Camille!

If you are planning a romantic Valentine's at home, or a fun friend non-valentine night (even a night home with the kids - what is more fun than dipping in chocolate?), you should think about adding fondue to the dessert menu. It is so easy and fun. Not only is chocolate fondue delicious but it gives your stay at home dinner/party the ambiance of a fun restaurant.

Here are two simple recipes I found:

Valentine's Chocolate Fondue Recipe

1 pound of premium semisweet or bittersweet chocolate, well chopped
1 1/2 cups of organic heavy cream

Set aside the chopped chocolate. Pour the cream into a medium, thick-bottomed saucepan (or double boiler if you have one) over low heat. Bring the cream to a simmer and add the chocolate. Stir until the chocolate is melted.

Transfer the chocolate to a fondue pot and enjoy.

Another similar recipe can be found at Simply Recipes. This site has a lot of variations you can do on the basic recipe.

I'm excited to pull out of my red fondue pot and dip strawberries in one of these recipes this weekend!
