Today I saw a list of 1001 books to read before you die. I had read a few of them but not many. This led me to wonder what are five books I think people should read before they die and do these five books coincide with my five favorite books? I am still working on my list, what does everyone else think?

It's an interesting question. There are my favorite books that I love to read over and over and then there are books that have changed the way I think about something. Which kind are better to have read before you die? I would probably say any book that leads you to be kinder to those around you while you are living is one to include on the list.

I agree with To Kill a Mockingbird - definitely a must read.
