I love these wreaths and the best part about them is that you can make them at home. I have no idea how hard they would be, maybe I will try one...

Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow! I am starting on the stuffing, rolls and pies tonight and then taking all of that along with two cats on a two hour drive where we will be celebrating. Have a safe weekend.

monthly meal roundup
Remember this post, about the new recipes I found for my november meal list? Well I tried them all. I would recommend all but the wild rice recipe. The gourmet mac and cheese was seriously the best mac and cheese I have ever had. It was so good. Try it, you won't be sorry! Now on to searching for recipes for next month.

P.S. I am starting a six monthish project-making a family cookbook with recipes from my cousins and aunts and grandma among others. I am excited about it. Currently I am starting to collect recipes and try and figure out the cover. I am thinking it would be fun to have some old pictures of my Grandma on each of the section dividers.

cake balls
Today I tested out the cake ball recipe I saw on Pioneer Woman. I love the way they turned out. Perfect for Rivalry Week in college football! One of the things I love about these is that you can adapt them to any holiday or occasion. I am excited to make some for Valentine's Day. I used a carrot cake mix and a white cake mix. I think I liked the carrot cake best. You can see the recipe here.

advent calendar

My sister found this awesome advent calendar on A Room Somewhere. You can see the pattern for the boxes here. I think I might make one this year. What does one put in an advent calendar?

prague

Prague has quickly jumped to my short list of European cities to see. It looks amazing!

The Charles Bridge was built in 1357 and was an important means of trade. The National Theatre in Prague.

Old town Prague. A highlight of Prague is the Astronomical Clock, which is on the side of Old Town City Hall. At the top of the hour there is the "Walk of the Apostles" where figures of the Apostles and Christ come out of the clock. This clock dates back to 1410.

ear muffs
I need some ear muffs to save my ears from the bitter, bitter cold while I wait for the bus. The problem is finding cute ear muffs.
I would prefer some ear muffs that are a little more cute than these.
J. Crew has some ear muffs but they are so fluffy, I am not sold. Anthropologie has the most useless looking earmuffs out but they do have some really cute scarfs.
Anyone have any suggestions of where else to look?
I do not understand the fingerless gloves.

red lipstick

I see posts about how people love red lipstick (see here or for bright pink here.) Personally I prefer muted colors, if I wear lipstick at all. Let's be honest, a little chapstick and I am good to go. If I am being really fancy, a little tinted chapstick. What do you think, is red lipstick for more than just Halloween?
