illuminaries

via greige
In my husband's parent's neighborhood they line the streets every Christmas Eve with white bags with candles inside so that the reindeer and Santa can see their neighborhood. It is really beautiful to look out and see the streets lined with candle light. When I saw this picture it reminded me of that. I think I will do one or the other some day.

  1. I grew up with the neighborhood doing that too. I miss it. Every Christmas eve after dinner we'd pile in the car and drive around the neighborhood gazing at the lights. My favorite were the foggy nights. Riley wants to start a business, I want him to sell Christmas Curb Candles so that our neighborhood is as cool as the one I grew up in. :) It's hard to pass on some traditions to your family when you aren't in control of who participates.
