the season for forcing bulbs is almost here. paperwhites and amaryllis are the two most commonly forced bulbs. although i have never actually tried this smith and hawken says the bulbs come with simple forcing instructions. and by the looks of it you can force amaryllis in a pot with rocks, sounds simple enough. i think i might try my hand at the red amaryllis and the paperwhites next to it, they are my favorite. you can see all sorts of forcing bulbs at smith and hawken.
