My sister is looking for ideas for a gift exchange party she is attending. It is kind of a fancy party so here are my fancy ideas.
In the recent issue of Martha Stewart Living, there was a how to demonstration for making your own etched Mercury vases. Tape craft paper on the outside of a clear vase and spray paint the inside. There may have been more, but that was the gist of it. This is Pottery Barn's version.
This star serving bowl would make a beautiful gift. Plus it is on sell.
There is only enough fabric for two more of these darling dresses! Monogrammed baby shoes.
Shower invitations
I think these are my favorite. Some art for the nursery
I love this hair clip, look at other clips from this seller!
Welcome to part 2 of a Handmade Baby Gift Guide. These are some of my favorites from Etsy today. If you click on the picture it will take you to the sellers listing. I fell in love with many of these sellers today, they have some great stuff!
I think Cake molds and cookie cutters make fun Baby Shower gifts as well. There will come a day when the Mother-to-be will need these for birthdays or just for fun (or so I assume.) Here are some of my personal favorites.
Train Cake I don't love the way they decorated these trains but they have so much potential to be so fun!
This is the one I want someday. How fun would an airplane cake be for a little boy?
Shortbread mold This is for cakes and brownies and although this really has no relevance to the child themed cakes here, I think it would turn out some pretty awesome brownies. Vignette Springerle Mold Again no overall relevance, but it makes such beautiful cookies, how can you resist? Do you think you could use sugar cookie dough on this? I wonder...
Castle Cake I like this one because you can make it into a sand castle with some brown sugar sand but it also has potential as a more fancy castle with frosting.
Tilting Cake Turntable This looks like something that could come in handy when decorating a cake but seriously what do I know?
This is an essential when you are going to decorate cupcakes, cookies or cakes. And this one looks so much easier and user friendly. I think I may get one of these and try my hand at cake decorating this summer. (Although I prefer ice cream cakes, my husband likes the real thing, plus it could be fun!)
Snake Shoes for boys and a baby sling Bibs and Burp Clothes
Hat for fall/winter and bows for any season! I think these shoes are my favorite! An organizer for holding diapers and wipes. Another cute hat and a nursing apron.
It is baby season! I, personally, cannot wait to get some of these darling gifts for my friends with little ones on the way! Enjoy part 1 to my Etsy guide for Baby Showers! Click on the pictures if you want to check any of them out!
